PROJECT 3 | Archival Consciousness (preferred tools and technologies) (4 weeks)| Due Week 14 (April 24), 35%

Find a community, movement, or business in your local surrounding then research about their mission, collect data and translate it into a website. Does the website represent a past archive, a growing archive, or a placeholder for the future archive to come? Data can vary across media such as text, videos, images, sounds, etc…A direct research with the subject you’re representing must be performed and presented in class.

Technologies: + CoPilot (Github AI assistant)

    Week 12 [ 4/3/2025 ]:
  • Introduction to Project 3.
  • Examplary Websites Showcase.
  • Writing research script and reaching out to the chosen website subject.

  • For next week: Read the Interview with Anja Groten.
  • For next week: Collect data and prepare a research presentation.

    Week 13 [ 4/10/2025 ]:
  • Professor was sick :(.
    Week 14 [ 4/17/2025 ]:
  • Homework Discussion.
  • Research Presentation.
  • Prompting with CoPilot tutorial.
  • For next week: Prepare a brief tutorial with a preferred AI tool to share with the class. This can be anything, from translating a physical drawing into an SVG file/code for the website, to writing a toggle function in React. It is very open.
    Week 15 [ 4/24/2025 ]:
  • Final Touch + Mobile Responsiveness.
  • Publishing Together.
  • Brief presentation of Project 3 websites.
    Week 16 [ 5/1/2025 ]:
  • Prompting the final archive together.
  • We will have a feedback session.
  • We will go through the Final Assessment Presentation manual.
